Don’t Underestimate The Power of Your RAK!

This was my experience yesterday at work! After a meeting at an offsite location, I decided to grab lunch at the cafeteria. All excited about the prospect of eating the scrumptious array of food I had selected from the buffet, I joined the beeline to the cashier. With three people ahead, I saw a sign that reads, "CASH ONLY." I may have read it out loud knowing I didn't have cash on me. The next thing I heard was the lady in front of me, a complete stranger turned around and said, "C'mon I have enough cash, I'll pay for you!" I can't begin to express in words what that kind gesture and consideration did for my spirit:)!!!

While I was thanking her for her kindness, I was looking around and thinking to myself that there's got to be an ATM machine around and low and behold there was one right in the corner by the cashier stand. I got a $20 bill and paid for my food. I’m certain I would have taken her up on her offer if there was no ATM machine available! This sista was hungry and needed to eat!

Then, I walked up to the table where the lady and her friend were seated. I asked if I may join them and with pleasure they both welcomed me! Needless to say that not only is the lady from my home country, but also both of these ladies work for the same employer and their office is just a few blocks away from mine....it's a small world afterall! Even more importantly is the fact that these ladies are two beautiful women who love the Lord and they have both become my sista-friends:)!

Ngozi and Ardell, if you ever stumble on to this write up on the blogosphere, know that truly it is the little things that we do for others in Christ’s love that matter for the Kingdom! Continue to let your light SHINE for others to see and feel so that they may glorify our Father in Heaven!!!

Folks, we as HUMANITY, have more in common to promote love and kindness than those things that differentiate and divide us! And WE are more connected than we've ever been in our human existence! So, I urge you to please make it your daily commitment to extend love and grace in little random acts of kindness (RAKs) to at least one person that you will encounter during the course of your day! It doesn't have to cost you money.....a smile, a kind word, a listening ear and a helping hand will do too:)!!!
You may never know the extent to which your kind gesture impacted the person on the receiving end. But, trust me, they'll live to remember and cherish it. So, don't underestimate the power of your RAK......JUST DO IT........

Blessings!!!
